Toothed Belt Axes
A toothed belt axis consists of a linear module with toothed belt which moves a carriage back and forth and a rotatory servo motor providing for the motion.
Advantages of the ESR toothed belt linear modules:
- suitable for fast linear movements
- high accelerations possible
- for low to medium loads
- cost-efficient even in case of long traveling distances
The linear modules can be combined with all ESR AC servo motors.

- AT toothed belt made of polyurethane with steel cord reinforcement
- Backlash-free pulley
- Protection against dust and other pollution by toothed belt profile slot
- Additional protection with stainless steel cover strip (optional)
- Central lubrication of the recirculating ball bearing guides via lubrication holes
- Low wear
- Low noise
- No reference run (homing) required in combination with multi-turn motor position sensors (optional)
- Mounting via T-slots
- Can be combined to form a multi-axis system
